Cardano Summit is an annual, world wide meet up for members in the Cardano ecosystem. The main event is held in a different country each year along with 25 satellite events around the world. A large part of the summit is the award ceremony to celebrate the impactful minds and projects building on Cardano.

I was honored to be asked by Cardano Foundation to design the animated NFTs, linked to the physical awards through NFC chip.

The 2023 event was held in Dubai and the ceremony was held underneath the Burj Khalifa.

About the Animation

This animation is a nod to Cardano’s decentralization, with each of the pieces acting independently, but uniting to create something larger than themselves.

The award was designed by the artist who produced the physicals. I was then provided with the specifications and a general concept for the environment.

It takes place above an oasis in the middle of a desert with the Dubai skyline on the horizon. The 11 codes on the inside of the long wooden panel are the proposal IDs of the winners.
